McMinnville man sentenced to federal prison for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute

PORTLAND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- A McMinnville, Oregon, man was sentenced to federal prison last Tuesday, (3/31), after being caught in possession of methamphetamine with the attempt to distribute in Yamhill County, Oregon.

John Billy Donnahoo, 52, was sentenced to 120 months in federal prison and five years of supervised release.

According to court documents, on May 25th, 2024, police officers executed a search warrant on Donnahoo’s residence and seized over one pound of methamphetamine, multiple firearms, ammunition, digital scales, and more than $16,000 in cash.

On July 16th, 2024, a federal grand jury in Portland returned a multi-count indictment. On November 19th, 2025, Donnahoo pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

This case was investigated by the McMinnville Police Department and Drug Enforcement Administration. The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Scott M. Kerin.
