Changes Coming to Pole Pedal Paddle Due to Lack of Snowfall

KTVZ-TV

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Due to the lack of snowfall this season, the 50th year of the Pole Pedal Paddle will not include skiing. Instead, the event's Facebook page states that skiing will be replaced by running.

Organizers are calling the former skiing portion the "Mountain Run."

The changes come as Mt. Bachelor announced the resort will be closing on April 19th due to the lack of snowfall this season.

KTVZ's Spencer Sacks is speaking with organizers of the Pole Pedal Paddle and will have a full report Thursday evening on KTVZ News at 10:00 pm on FOX and KTVZ News at 11:00 pm on NBC.
