Highway 97 reopens between Sunriver and La Pine after semi-truck crash, closure

SUNRIVER, Ore. (KTVZ) – A single-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck closed US Highway 97 between Sunriver and La Pine for over an hour late Wednesday afternoon, ODOT reported.

The crash was reported around 4:40 p.m. near milepost 157, about 11 miles north of La Pine, according to ODOT’s TripCheck page. The highway reopened before 6 p.m., though motorists were advised to "prepare to slow or move over for worker safety.

Motorists were advised during the closure to expect delays in the area and use an alternate route.

The crashed semi was blocking both lanes, ODOT Region 4 Public Information Officer Kacey Davey told KTVZ News.
