Sheriff: 2 wounded, suspect dead, in shooting at SC plant

KTVZ

ANDERSON, S.C. (AP) — Authorities say a former employee shot and wounded two workers at an industrial plant in South Carolina before taking his own life. Anderson County authorities say the shooting happened about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Fraenkische plant in Anderson. Two people were wounded and authorities say one of the victims remained on life support Wednesday. Investigators say 51-year-old Bruce Vandermosten Jr. died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Investigators haven’t determined why Vandermosten came to his former business and say it doesn’t appear he was intentionally targeting his victims. Fraenkische is a German company that makes pipes and has about two dozen locations around the world.
