Germany: 1 person wounded, 1 detained in school attack
BERLIN (AP) — German investigators say a school employee has been seriously wounded an assailant wielding a crossbow in an attack at a high school in the northern city of Bremerhaven. A suspect has been detained. Police said they were alerted Thursday morning to someone having entered the Lloyd High School and wounding one person. They said the suspect, a 21-year-old man, was detained near the school shortly afterward without resistance. Students stayed in their classrooms while police searched the building. The students were evacuated around lunchtime after investigators determined that no other perpetrators were on the premises. There is no word yet upon a motive.
