Captain of ship carrying Iranian-made missile components to remain behind bars pending trial

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — A Pakistani national who U.S. officials say was the captain of a ship carrying Iranian-made missile components to Houthi rebels in Yemen has been ordered to remain behind bars while he awaits trial on charges of attempting to smuggle a warhead and other weapons and lying to U.S. Coast Guard officers as they boarded the boat  U.S. Central Command Navy forces, including Navy SEALs, boarded the vessel in the Arabian Sea the night of Jan. 11. Two Navy SEALs drowned during the operation. During a detention hearing in federal court in Richmond Tuesday, a judge ruled that Muhammad Pahlawan will continue to be held without bond. His three co-defendants were also ordered detained.
