Near-drowning, rescue put spotlight on illegal bridge-jumping in Bend
The rescue of a boy who dove off the footbridge by Columbia Park in Bend and reportedly nearly drowned has prompted reminders from Bend Fire officials that doing so is not only dangerous but illegal, and carries a hefty fine.
