Who’s Bend’s top dogs? Four-legged athletes participating in inaugural Doggolympics in the Old Mill

Visit Bend

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Athletes like Simone Biles, Suni Lee and Tara Davis-Woodhall are soaking in the glory from the Paris Olympics. And now, right here in Bend, we have our own Olympics - and of course, being Bend, it's all going to the dogs: Saturday's inaugural Doggolympics in Bend's Old Mill District.

Greg's Grill and the dog food cart Hungry Hound are hosting the event from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The dogs are competing in sprints, high jumps and an agility course.

Kelsey McGee is on hand to check out all the events the four-legged athletes get to compete in. Her report will be on NewsChannel 21 First at Ten on Fox and at 11 on NBC (our 6 p.m. newscast is pre-empted).
