Rainy Bend ceremony, 50-flag display honor, remember nearly 3,000 victims of 9/11 terror attacks

A special gathering took place on a rainy Wednesday morning at the Bend Heroes Memorial to honor and remember the nearly 3,000 people who died 23 years ago in the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks.

Fifty flags bearing their names were displayed on the Veterans Memorial Bridge along Newport Avenue, Isabella Warren reports.

Also, a special 9/11 display began last weekend in downtown Prineville and continues until Saturday.
