Bend Fire & Rescue invites community to annual open house

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Bend Fire & Rescue invites the community to its annual open house on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the North Fire Station, 63377 NE Jamison Street in Bend.

This free, family-friendly event is an opportunity to meet firefighters, emergency responders and community partners as well as take a tour of the fire station. There will be an opportunity to climb into a fire truck - and free ice cream will be available at the event!

This will also be an opportunity for community members to learn valuable safety tips from Bend Fire & Rescue staff. There will be a safe cooking demonstration, a smoke alarm demonstration and an opportunity to learn about wildfire and home safety.
