BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Spring is here, but heavy snow is still piling up in the mountains.

Over the past week, winter storms have dropped more than five feet of snow at Mt. Bachelor.

"We actually had to add a ruler to the top of our base depth snow stake because the snow has gotten so tall. It's the first time that we've had to do that since the 2012 - 2013 season," said Communications Manager Presley Quan.

By Friday morning, as spring break arrives, they topped the 400-inch mark for the season so far.
