Take the plunge, support a cause: Special Olympics Oregon’s Bend Polar Plunge set for Saturday

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- The Bend Polar Plunge and 5K event is set to take place this Saturday. The event will begin at 9:00 a.m. with day-of registration at Riverbend Park.

To enter either the Polar Plunge or the 5K, individuals must raise $60, while those participating in both events need to raise $100. The 5K starts at 10 a.m. and the plungers hit the water at 11 a.m.

All proceeds go to support Special Olympics Oregon.

KTVZ's Spencer Sacks will be at Riverbend Park tonight to preview the event. Sacks will have a report at 4 p.m. on Fox and at 5 p.m. on NBC.
