BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) – Mid Oregon Credit Union, the only financial institution headquartered in Central Oregon, has reached a significant milestone: serving more than 50,000 members.

"This achievement reflects the growing trust and loyalty of the communities it serves across the region," said Thursday's announcement.

“Surpassing 50,000 members is more than a number—it’s a reflection of the relationships we’ve built,” said Kevin Cole, President and CEO of Mid Oregon. “At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to simplicity, helpfulness and relationships built on trust. As we grow, we remain rooted in the values that make us more than a credit union—we are a community partner.”

Mid Oregon’s growth is driven by a combination of industry-leading banking tools, enhanced business services, accessible financial education, and innovative product offerings such as Simply Free Checking and flexible certificate options. Strong community involvement and word-of-mouth referrals from loyal members also continue to drive new membership.

Mid Oregon’s success is also highlighted by several recent accomplishments—being named a top workplace in Oregon for three consecutive years and recognized as the #1 credit union in Oregon by Forbes for the second consecutive year.

To accommodate its growing staff and membership, Mid Oregon recently opened its 8th full-service branch and headquarters in the Old Mill District. A ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Bend Chamber took place on April 29, 2025.

With over 160 local employees and a steadfast focus on community, Mid Oregon remains dedicated to serving Central Oregon with the same values and vision that has guided it for decades.
