Cascades wilderness permits required to help preserve hiking trails

The Forest Service is requiring central cascades wilderness permits to protect the many hiking trails the public enjoys from being worn down.

Permits are requited until September 24th.

One avid hiker expressed Sunday that the permits are frustrating and she can hardly find an open slot to hike the places she would like to.
