Mt. Bachelor is throwing its 67th birthday party – and you’re invited – as a strong start to the season continues
BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) – Off the start of an early, stellar season, Mt. Bachelor is celebrating its 67th birthday on Thursday – with a party for all, of course.
The resort is providing cake, ice cream, Deschutes beer for adults and Mountain Dew Baja Blast (non-alcoholic) for all from 1-2 p.m. Thursday on the West Village Lodge deck.
“It’s the perfect way to commemorate this milestone with family and friends,” they say.
The recent storms have dropped some three feet of snow in the past week, for a base depth at nearly 70 inches. Forecasters see “another solid week of snow” ahead, the resort said in its Thursday morning mountain update.
Mt. Bachelor opened Summit Thursday at 9:15 a.m. according to Presley Quon, communications and relations manager. On Saturday at 8 a.m., Mt. Bachelor Outplay 365 and Full Season Passholders will get early access to Red Chair so they can enjoy laps a full hour before the resort opens, weather permitting
