Oregon lawmakers take steps to tackle recreation insurance liability concerns

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- New legislative steps have been taken to address concerns regarding recreation insurance liability. Senate Bill 1517 and Senate Bill 1593 are competing bills that seek to resolve the issue.

The introduction of these measures follows ongoing discussions about the legal and financial risks associated with recreation in Oregon.

KTVZ News reporter Spencer Sacks is following the developments of these measures from the Oregon State Capitol in Salem. Sacks spoke with an organization that is currently championing the reform efforts to address the liability concerns.
