Livable Future Forum brings focus to Central Oregon’s growing challenges

BEND, Ore. — (KTVZ)Central Oregon LandWatch sat down with local media Friday to discuss the upcoming Livable Future Forum, a series of events scheduled throughout the fall aimed at addressing growth, climate, and sustainability challenges in the region.

The forum will provide a platform for community leaders, residents, and experts to explore ways to balance development with conservation and plan for a resilient, livable Central Oregon. Speakers are expected to highlight the impacts of rapid population growth, increasing housing demands, and environmental concerns such as wildfire risk and water management.

Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in interactive sessions and panel discussions, sharing ideas and learning from experts on strategies to maintain quality of life while protecting Central Oregon’s unique landscapes.

Organizers say the forum is part of an ongoing effort to foster dialogue and collaboration among stakeholders, ensuring that growth does not come at the expense of the environment or local quality of life.
