Community Conversations: Kendall’s Catwalk for a Cause returns to Bend, combining fashion and community impact

BEND, Ore. — Kendall's Catwalk for a Cause is back in Bend, promising an unforgettable evening of fashion, fun and giving.

The signature event is set for Saturday, Nov. 8, bringing together the business community to support a local charity — this year, Furnish Hope. Our very own Anchor, Lynsey Harris, will be hosting the event.

Organizers say the event highlights 21 community leaders who have spent the last six months fundraising and spreading awareness for Furnish Hope’s mission: providing furniture and household essentials to families starting over in Central Oregon.

As the region’s only furniture bank, Furnish Hope operates a large warehouse where donations are sorted and prepared for delivery to local homes.

Volunteers play a crucial role, greeting donors, organizing items, and even joining deliveries to witness the joy and gratitude of the families receiving help.

According to Furnish Hope, this year they plan to furnish nearly 30% more homes and deliver 42% more items per home than last year — thanks in part to the support of Kendall's Catwalk for a Cause.

Tickets are available online, and attendees can expect an evening full of celebration, fundraising, and community spirit.
