Several Old Mill District restaurants are reopening
BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Several restaurants in Bend’s Old Mill District reopened Friday or have announced plans to reopen for sit-down service, with all appropriate safety measures in place to comply with regulations.
The announcement follows the approval of Deschutes County to enter Phase I of Governor Brown’s reopening plan for Oregon.
“The restaurants are implementing thoughtful plans to reopen that comply with safety requirements outlined by the state of Oregon,” said Carrie Ramoz, marketing director for the Old Mill District. “While many restaurants have remained open for online ordering, curbside pickup and delivery, they are thrilled to again welcome guests for dine-in service while keeping health and safety a top priority.”

Brown to keep employees and patrons safe include measures like maximum occupancy requirements, maintaining the recommended 6-foot social distancing parameters, limiting dining party size to 10 people or fewer, sanitization steps, food handling requirements and 10 p.m. closure requirements.
Several restaurants have opened outdoor patio seating for takeout customers to use. Old Mill District patrons also have the option to bring a picnic blanket, order their food to-go and enjoy their meal on one of the district’s beautiful lawns.
Several retailers are also currently open for online purchasing, delivery and curbside pickup in the Old Mill District, with more expected to join. The Old Mill District is committed to the health and safety of its guests and tenants, and is operating in compliance with Oregon Executive Order 20-12 until further notice.
