Oregon reports no new COVID-19 deaths for 2nd straight day; 222 new cases

PORTLAND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- The state’s death toll from COVID-19 is unchanged from Sunday and remains at 599, the second straight day with no new deaths reported, Oregon Health Authority said Monday.

OHA reported 222 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19 as of 12:01 a.m. Monday, bringing the state total to 37,467 cases, along with 707,788 negative test results.

The new cases reported Monday are in the following counties: Clackamas (13), Clatsop (1), Columbia (1), Curry (2), Deschutes (5), Hood River (1), Jackson (17), Jefferson (1), Josephine (1), Lane (31), Linn (7), Marion (21), Multnomah (44), Polk (1), Umatilla (12), Wasco (5), Washington (40), and Yamhill (19).

Crook County had 70 COVID-19 cases as of Monday, one death and 2,816 negative test results. Deschutes County has had 995 cases, 13 deaths and 34,025 negative test results. Jefferson County has had 589 cases, eight deaths and 5,228 negative test results.

St. Charles Health System reported four COVID-19 patients as of 8:30 a.m. Monday, though none were in the ICU or on a ventilator.
