BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) – Deschutes County sheriff’s deputies sought the public’s help Tuesday in finding a missing Deschutes River Woods resident with health issues who last was seen at a family member’s southwest Bend home last Saturday afternoon. They reported later Tuesday that he had been located and reunited with his family.

"The Deschutes County Sheriff's Office would like to thank the public for their assistance," the Tuesday evening update stated.

Deputies had responded around 5 p.m. Monday to the report of a missing and overdue man from his home in the 60000 block of Winnebago Lane in DRW, south of Bend, Sergeant Jason Wall said earlier Tuesday.

Anthony Joseph Lopez, 25, “has a history of seizures, is diagnosed schizophrenic and struggles to walk efficiently,” Wall said in a news release.

Lopez, who did not have a cellphone on his person, last had been seen around 2 p.m. Saturday at a family member’s home near Romaine Village in southwest Bend, the sergeant said.

“Lopez is not associated with a vehicle or any other mode of transportation, other than on foot,” Wall added.

Lopez wass described as a Hispanic male, 5-foot-9 and 120 pounds, with chin-length, curly brown hair. He was last seen wearing brown Carhartt pants cuffed at the hem, a light-blue hooded sweatshirt and black skateboard shoes.

The sheriff’s office had asked that anyone who sees Lopez or has information about his whereabouts to contact 911 non-emergency dispatch at 541-693-6911, and reference case No. 24-48654.
