There’s something fun for everyone as NatureConnect Fest returns to Bend’s Alpenglow Park
BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- NatureConnect Central Oregon is excited to bring back their popular event, NatureConnect Fest! NatureConnect Fest celebrates the diversity of ways that we all connect with nature. The event will provide something for everyone, including nature arts and crafts, STEM activities, outdoor recreation, a scavenger hunt, food, and more.
Families can try a new outdoor activity, connect with amazing community organizations, and learn how we can all help take care of our environment and community.
The FREE event is Saturday, September 20, 11am-3pm, at Alpenglow Park in Bend. The Gear Fix is this year’s presenting sponsor.
The event is made possible by 25+ community partners, including Bend Park and Recreation District who co-hosts the event. Activities include a climbing wall, fly casting practice, the firefighter challenge, a natural dyes demonstration, wildlife tracking activities, a volcano demonstration, tons of art activities, and much more.
This year’s event will also the Alpenglow Adventure Hunt – an interactive scavenger hunt for kids with a series of nature-oriented missions or challenges. Families can use the app ActionBound to participate, or use a paper version of the scavenger hunt. The scavenger hunt will take about 20-30 minutes for families to complete.
“We’re thrilled to be offering this fun and engaging event for families in our community again this year.
