BREAKING NEWS: Deschutes County commissioners vote to move districting map to voters

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) — the Deschutes county board of county commissioners voted to 2-1 to move the districting map plan to voters. at the meeting Wednesday morning.

This comes after several months, and hours of discussion and debate.

The map C as currently laid out would have 2 seats in Bend, 1 in Redmond, 1 in Sisters, 1 in the south of the county for La Pine and Sunriver.

During the packed house meeting, residents shared their final thought and opinions before the commissioners voted.

The Comissioners also voted 2-1 putting the map on the November ballot.
