(Update: Missing La Pine woman found)

La PINE, Ore. (KTVZ) -- The Deschutes County Sheriff's Office turned to the public early Tuesday morning to help them looking for a La Pine woman who suffers from dementia and walked away from her home Monday evening, failing to return. She was reported found a few hours later.

"Beverly Loving has been located and no longer considered missing/endangered," the agency said in the update issued shortly before 9 a.m.

"Thank you to all community members who assisted," they added.

Deputies were dispatched after the disappearance of Loving, 76, who left her residence around 7:30 p.m. Monday, Sergeant Joshua Barker said.

She had last been seen in the Ponderosa Pines subdivision, on Subal Pine near Black Cottonwood. Deputies conducted an extensive search of the area, including foot patrols, neighborhood canvasses, an unmanned aircraft system (UAS) drone, and a bloodhound K-9.
