10th annual Old Fashion Christmas brings hundreds of vendors, visitors to the Redmond Fairgrounds

(Update: Adding video, comments from vendors)

REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Christmas cheer started early in Central Oregon this weekend with the 10th annual Old Fashion Christmas at the Deschutes County Fairgrounds in Redmond.

Visitors to the Middle and South Sister buildings got to check out a variety of gifts, arts and crafts, and antiques and a chance to look over and buy anything from gloves to woodwork.

Attendees also got to see a holiday display leading to an early visit with none other than Santa.

More than 100 vendors were on hand this year, which organizers said was about 20 more than last year.

Margaux Mutchler of El Yunque Creations LLC in Bend said, "I'm happy to just do what I love and show my work to everybody. Everybody's so kind! And they just make me feel like I can make my dreams come true with my creativity."

Linda’s Yard Art owner Linda Givens said, "I love it! People enjoy it, you know, and it's just the sounds are so nice to have that in your yard and just make you happy. And it makes me happy!"
