REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) – Just two months after restoring daily flights between Redmond and Portland, Alaska Airlines confirmed Wednesday it will be stepping up to three daily flights between the two destinations as another busy summer travel season begins.

When it announced the daily RDM-PDX flights in mid-November, the airline said it would add a second flight on peak travel days, to meet the passenger demand.

As of May 15, “we’ll fly three round-trips daily,” the airline now tells KTVZ News.

"We want to provide much better schedule options for local travelers," the airline said in an emailed response. "With three daily round trips, it's much easier to take a day trip in either direction, whether for a business meeting or to visit family or friends."

"As we grow PDX as a hub and focus more on connectivity, we want to ensure that RDM has access to the full breadth of our PDX network with attractive one-stop itineraries," the airline added.

Coincidentally, Alaska Air Group on Wednesday reported its fourth quarter and 2024 results, including a record full-year revenue of $11.7 billion.
