After 2 searches of area, Redmond Police seek public’s help to find man missing since going for a walk a month ago

Second search west of city using K-9s, drones fails to find Malecai Sloan-Ramsey, 28
REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) – After two fruitless searches, the latest involving K-9 teams and drones, Redmond Police turned to the public Thursday for any tips to the whereabouts of a 28-year-old man who went for a walk just west of the city last month and never returned home.
Police took a report on Jan. 23 of a possible missing Redmond-area man identified as Malecai Sloan-Ramsey, Lieutenant April Huey said in a news release.
Sloan-Ramsey last was seen a week earlier, near the Buckhorn Staging area, west of the Redmond city limits, having told friends he was going for a walk, Huey said.
Friends and family have been unable to reach him since, the lieutenant said.
Redmond Police, assisted by the Deschutes Sheriff’s Office, searched the Buckhorn Staging area on Jan. 23 and again on Wednesday of this week, utilizing K-9s and drones.
"RPD has worked with other law enforcement agencies across the state and have been unable to locate him to date," Huey said.
As a result, Redmond Police released three photos Thursday as they asked for the public's assistance in locating Sloan-Ramsey, who last was seen wearing red Jordan sneakers, blue Carhart-style pants and a flannel shirt. He is described as a white male, approximately 6-foot4 and 170 pounds, with facial tattoos, and often has a mustache and a goatee.
Anyone with information on Sloan-Ramsey's location is asked to call the Redmond Police Department through the non-emergency dispatch at 541-693-6911.
