Bend Witches Paddle returns Friday to support MountainStar Relief Nursery

(Update: video added)

BEND, Ore.(KTVZ) — The annual Bend Witches Paddle is set to return this Friday-Halloween! The Deschutes River will be filled with paddlers dressed as witches — all for a good cause.

The event collects donations and raises money for MountainStar Relief Nursery, which provides support and services for local children and families in need.

Organizers say the paddle is family and dog-friendly, and participants can take to the water on paddleboards, kayaks, canoes, or tubes. Costumes are encouraged. Those interested can find full details and updates about the event on the “Bend Witches Paddle" Facebook page.
