Shepherd’s House Ministries seeks donations for free community Christmas dinners

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- As the season of giving arrives, Shepherd’s House Ministries is preparing to share the warmth of Christmas with Central Oregon neighbors through its annual community holiday dinners.
This year, the nonprofit will offer free Christmas meals for anyone in need; including those in its programs, unhoused individuals, local families, and anyone who wishes to join in celebration.
Meal times and locations:
- Monday, Dec. 22:
- 12–2 p.m. at the Shepherd’s House Men’s Center, 1854 NE Division St., Bend
- 5–7 p.m. at the Redmond Center, 1350 S. Hwy 97, Redmond
- Tuesday, Dec. 23:
- 5–7 p.m. at the Lighthouse Navigation Center, 275 NE 2nd St., Bend
Organizers say the effort isn’t possible without community support, and they’re asking for help to make this year’s celebration extra special. Items needed include:
1. Ham
2. Prime Rib
3. Russet or Sweet Potatoes
4. Beef Broth/Stock
5. Salad Veggies
6. Canned Vegetables
7. Croutons/Dinner Rolls
8. Macaroni Noodles
9. Coffee & Creamer
10. Pies / Cheesecake
11. Whipped Cream
12. Heavy Cream
13. Sour Cream
14. Butter
15. Martinelli's Cider
16. Horseradish
17. Black Pepper
18. Freezer storage tubs
19. Sternos
Donations can be dropped off at the Men’s Center in Bend or the Redmond Center during regular hours.
