Mt. Bachelor announces closing date, plans high-energy RendezVan sendoff

Mt. Bachelor

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Mt. Bachelor will officially close for the 2025/26 winter season on Sunday, April 19, coinciding with the return of RendezVan, a multi-day celebration of spring skiing, live music and van-life culture.

Resort officials say closing weekend will serve as a high-energy sendoff, featuring games, activities, giveaways, food carts and extended hours on the Pine Marten lift.

“This season was challenging, but I want to acknowledge the incredible efforts of our employees and give a huge thank you to our community for coming out and staying positive,” said John Merriman, Mt. Bachelor President and General Manager. “Despite a historic low-snow year, we had some incredible moments, from those rare but sweet powder turns to carving fresh groomers and launching new events. Every time I hop on the chairlift, I am reminded that a day on the mountain is better than almost anything else.”

The RendezVan festival is free to attend and begins at noon on April 16. Organizers say the event will feature nonstop entertainment, including live music, a skate park, silent disco, line dancing, bike relays, dog races, yoga and axe-throwing.

The festival also highlights Central Oregon’s mountain lifestyle, with a music lineup spanning multiple genres, from acoustic folk and bluegrass to indie pop, funk and electronic.

Music lineup:

  • Thursday, April 16, Local Showcase: Rum Peppers, mamasboy
  • Friday, April 17: The 502s, Kitchen Dwellers, DUG
  • Saturday, April 18: Andy Frasco & The U.N., Horseshoes & Hand Grenades, Vincent Antone
