Deschutes County seeks $77K state grant for ranchers’ wolf-kill compensation, non-lethal deterrence

Deschutes County is applying to the state Department of Agriculture for a grant of about $77,000 to compensate ranchers for wolf depredation, as well as livestock management activities and non-lethal wolf deterrence, Matthew Draxton reports.
