BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Caldera High School made history Thursday night, securing its first-ever win over Summit behind a dominant 33-point performance from senior Will Jenson.

Jenson, nearly unstoppable throughout the game, reflected on the significance of the victory.

"I mean, to get that 'W' feels so great," Jenson said. "We just have to keep this going, keep playing as a team, and keep it rolling from here."

For Jenson and his teammates, this win was about more than just a game — it was about growth and resilience.

"Last year, we were in a lot of close games, and we didn’t get the 'W,' Jenson said. "This year, we’re bringing that experience, knowing we have to fight and bring that level of intensity to get the win."

While Jenson led the charge, senior guards Miles Macomber and Jack Bents played crucial roles, combining for 24 points to help push the Wolfpack over the top.

Jack Bents was hyped about the win.

"It feels amazing," Bents said. "I just want to show them that this is a new program, Caldera - we’ve got some hoopers out here."

Macomber emphasized the team-first mentality that makes Caldera dangerous. "Any of our starters can go for 20 on any given night. It’s all about teamwork, finding who’s hot, and getting them going," Macomber said.

Now 3-0 in league play and ranked No. 1 in the state, the Wolfpack are proving that years of hard work are paying off. As seniors, they’re embracing their final season and setting their sights on even bigger goals.

"We’ve got a growing sense of maturity and trust in each other. Grit is powering us through these wins."

With a league title and a state championship in sight, the team is hungry for more.

"We got the reins of the IMC now," Bents said, "We’re confident, looking to win every game from here, and make a deep run for the state championship."

Caldera faces sixth-ranked Redmond next Friday in another key league showdown.
