PRINEVILLE, Ore. (KTVZ) -- A silly string bath for the coach followed a big-time win for the Crook County Cowgirls. Fourth-year head coach Bob Boback and the Cowgirls dominated Estacada 48-9 on Pink Ribbon Night, honoring those who have battled cancer. Boback emphasizes the importance of balancing hard work with fun.

Boback and the Cowgirls beat Estacada 48-9 on Pink Ribbon Night, honoring those who have battled cancer. Senior Chloe Mackenzie acknowledges the significance of the game, recognizing cancer survivors—especially her coach, who is a survivor himself.

Boback reflects on his personal battle with cancer, emphasizing the importance of honoring those who have fought the disease.

The celebration continued Monday night as the Cowgirls clinched at least a share of the league title for the first time since 1992.

Mackenzie describes the surreal feeling of reaching this milestone, reflecting on the team’s journey and growth throughout the season.

Despite an undefeated league run, the season began with heartbreak when sophomore sensation Anna Bales tore her ACL and meniscus earlier this season. Bales admits the injury was challenging but remains hopeful and determined to return stronger. Though sidelined, Bales has continued to support her team, expressing pride in their success and motivation for next season.

With two regular-season games remaining, the Cowgirls aim for an undefeated league record and a deep playoff run.

The team acknowledges early struggles but believes their growth and chemistry can lead to success in the postseason.

The Crook County Cowgirls’ next game is this Friday on the road at Madras.
