McMINNVILLE, Ore. (KTVZ) -- There were little to no expectations for the Summit Storm this season, not because they lost eight seniors, including star player Pearson Carmichael, but because not one of the six Summit seniors this year had state tournament experience and little to none varsity playing time.

However, the Storm proved every single person wrong and showed it Thursday night after beating No. 2 Thurston to move on to the semifinals for the fourth straight year. They play Canby Friday night in hopes of making it to the state championship game for the fourth straight year.
