Seattle Mariners start the season with a bang with a 4-2 win over the A’s

SEATTLE (KTVZ) -- The Seattle Mariners kicked off their season with a 4-2 win over the Oakland Athletics at T-Mobile Park Thursday night. Jorge Polanco delivered the game-winning moment with a two-run homer in the eighth inning, breaking a 2-2 tie. Logan Gilbert had a strong start, striking out eight over seven innings while allowing just one run. Tyler Soderstrom provided the A's only offense with two solo home runs. Trent Thornton earned the win in relief, and Andrés Muñoz closed it out for the save. With this victory, the Mariners start the season 1-0.
