REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- The Oregon Lightning returned home for the first time in over a month, but their much-anticipated matchup ended in a loss as they fell to the Washington Wolfpack 41-30 Friday night.

Both teams entered the game with identical 1-4 records, but it was Washington that came out firing, jumping to a dominant early lead.

Oregon struggled to find rhythm offensively for most of the game, plagued by turnovers and missed opportunities. Despite a late push that showed flashes of life, the Lightning couldn’t overcome the early deficit, dropping to 1-5 on the season, while Washington picked up a much-needed second win.

It was good to see the Oregon Lightning battle back toward the end of their matchup against the Washington Wolfpack. Even more exciting, arena football is officially back in Central Oregon! The fast-paced action and electric atmosphere make it a must-see. If you haven’t been to a game yet, I highly recommend checking it out. It’s an experience you won’t want to miss.

The Lightning’s next home game is coming up soon, Monday, May 12th, when they host the Corpus Christi Tritons for some thrilling Monday night football action!

The Lightning have been in many close games this season, and they look to find some momentum as they head down the final stretch of the season.
