Beyond the Score: Girls hoops is back as Caldera hosts summer ball tournament

Bend, Or (KTVZ)- Caldera girls basketball hosted its second annual Wolfpack Den Showcase last week bringing energy, talent, and competition to the High Desert.

Thirteen teams from across the state made the trip, while several local programs — including Caldera, Redmond, Crook County, and Summit — proudly represented Central Oregon.

The summer tournament gives players and coaches valuable early reps, helping them build chemistry and sharpen skills long before the winter season tips off.

For Caldera, hosting the event on their home court means more than just convenience — it’s about community.

With the help of multiple sponsors, the coaching staff, and the players themselves, the showcase ran smoothly for a second straight year.

The high school season might be months away, but for these teams, it’s never too early to prepare and never too soon to chase a playoff run.
