Sports Report: Mariners take a 2-0 lead in the ALCS and Oregon State Beavers move on from head coach Trent Bray

It was a great day for Mariner fans after they took a dominating 2-0 lead in their first ALCS in 24 years. Their offense was nearly unstoppable totaling 10 runs off of 10 hits. After a shaky start from starter Logan Gilbert, their bullpen was able to find a rhythm and keep the Blue Jays from scoring after the 3rd inning.

Meanwhile, things aren't as happy in Corvallis. Oregon State Athletic Director Scott Barnes fielded questions today regarding the firing of 2nd year head coach Trent Bray. The former linebacker for the Beavs was unable to find success in his second year going 0-7 so far this season. Now, the Beavers are looking to finish out their remaining schedule strong and begin their head coach search.
