Central Oregon Gymnastics Academy hosts hundreds of gymnasts for competitive meet

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ)-- The Central Oregon Gymnastics Academy is hosting its second annual Central Oregon Classic this weekend.

The meet is taking place at the Riverhouse Convention Center in Bend and runs Friday through Sunday.

More than 600 athletes from multiple states are traveling to Central Oregon to compete in the three-day event. The competition is an official USA Gymnastics Region 2 meet.

Nearly 100 volunteers and 15 sponsors are helping make the event possible. That includes meet directors Jacob and Jordan Bailey, who also have a daughter competing in the Classic.

The Central Oregon Gymnastics Academy is inviting the community to the Riverhouse Convention Center to watch the meet.
