Summit gets revenge, hands Crook County first loss of the season

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ)-- Four straight state title appearances for the Summit Storm versus the new kids on the block, Crook County.

Earlier this season, the Cowboys proved they belonged in the IMC and the 5A ranks, knocking off Summit, 59-49, and holding the Storm to their lowest point total of the year.

This time, it was a different story.

Summit came out looking for revenge — and delivered. The Storm erupted for 85 points, handing previously undefeated Crook County its first loss of the season in an 85-60 statement win.

Senior transfer Caleb Branch led the charge, pouring in 30 points to pace the Storm’s high-powered offense.

With the result, both Summit and Crook County now sit with one loss in IMC play.
