Santander’s big night (3 hits, 3 RBIs) helps Orioles outlast Guardians 8-5

BALTIMORE (AP) — Anthony Santander hit a bases-clearing triple during Baltimore’s five-run second inning, then added a pair of doubles to lift the Orioles to an 8-5 victory over the Cleveland Guardians. Kyle Gibson won his third straight start, allowing three runs and seven hits in 5 2/3 innings. Baltimore led 8-1 at the start of the sixth but still had to use its top relievers to close the game out. Josh Naylor hit a two-run single in the seventh to make it 8-5.
