Astros go deep 5 time to rally for 9-8 win over Angels despite Ohtani’s MLB-best 34th homer

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — Alex Bregman connected for a two-run homer with two outs in the ninth inning for his fourth hit of the game, Chas McCormick went deep twice and the Houston Astros rallied from a four-run deficit to defeat the Los Angeles Angels 9-8, despite Shohei Ohtani’s major league-leading 34th homer of the season. Kyle Tucker also had four hits, including a solo shot in the ninth inning. The Astros trailed 7-5 going into the ninth before scoring four off Jaime Barria. Tucker also made a diving catch on Matt Thaiss’ line drive to right field for the final out.
