Terranaut Beer celebrating the Summer Solstice in style with sunshine, local brews, and music
(Update: Adding video)
BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- The longest day of the year is Friday and one of Central Oregon's newest brewery is celebrating with its 1st annual Summer Solstice part. Starting in the early afternoon at Terranaut Beer, the celebration will feature locally crafted brews, music, and good times.
The Summer Solstice is the day with the most daylight hours in the Northern Hemisphere. This occurs when the Earth's tilt is at its maximum toward the sun, causing it to appear at its highest point in the sky.
KTVZ viewers may remember when we covered their grand opening in fall of last year.
The brewery on Bend's north side was started by a former 10 Barrel employee, and features themes every night. A local favorite is Wednesday's bring your own vinyl night.
Tomorrow's Summer Solstice celebration starts at 2PM, and there is plenty of outdoor space to enjoy the sun.
