RE/MAX Key Properties continues holiday tradition helping local kids

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ)-- RE/MAX Key Properties carried out its annual holiday tradition Thursday afternoon, stuffing stockings for children served by The Giving Plate food bank.

Employees and volunteers from the real estate agency spent the afternoon filling stockings with mostly food items, along with some holiday treats, hygiene products, and a small stuffed animal. The stockings will go to children whose families rely on the food bank this season.

Debbie Martorano, broker at RE/MAX Key Properties told KTVZ News
“Paying it forward is one of the greatest things you can ever do. Not only does it help the community, but it brings people together. It's a huge fun event and it shows people that paying it forward really helps you out and it makes your heart feel better.”

Over the course of the afternoon, the group filled 1,000 stockings. The items used were all donated by members of the real estate community in Bend.
