Skies are clearing and temperatures are starting to cool off
Storm chances will move east today as Central Oregon clears out. You can plan for partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies by the end of the day.
Fire danger remains elevated. The Red Flag Warning over Central Oregon has expired but will remain active until tonight for areas directly north and south of us. Winds are on the breezy side today, reaching near 30mph for some.
After a couple of hot days, temperatures are dropping into the 80s this afternoon. We’ll still clock in around 5-8 degrees above normal for this time of year, but not quite the 15 we were seeing at the top of the week. Temperatures will continue to cool to near normal the rest of the week. Plan on highs in the 70s and 80s heading into the weekend.
Right now, your July Fourth plans should remain clear. There is a very slim chance of a rogue storm or shower in the early morning hours. The good news is that rain and storm chances move east for the afternoon–Your BBQ or floating plans are looking sunny and warm!
The holiday weekend will be quiet, sunny, with highs in the 80s and light afternoon breezes. In other words, a beautiful weekend.
Have a wonderful Wednesday!
