Mild day & cool conditions for trick-or-treating!

Happy Halloween! Enjoy mostly clear skies for the spookiest day of the year! It should be a cool and dry evening for trick or treating. The sun will set before 6pm tonight and as it does temps will drop to the upper 40s and low 50s so stay warm in your costumes.

Today, a ridge of high pressure will continue over the region giving us dry and mild conditions through the mid week. We will probably see the introduction of some cold rain on Thursday as a warm front moves in from the west. This will very likely be rain and not snow (except for in higher elevations closer to 6500 ft) due to temperatures in the area staying a bit on the warmer side.

Southeast winds in the 5 to 10 mph range won't be too noticeable, today. Southerly winds will increase again late Wednesday night into Thursday associated with the frontal boundary of the coming warm front passing over the forecast area.

Highs will be in the 50s and low 60s and overnight lows will be warmer than the last few nights in the low to middle 30s!
