Widespread rain today, more mountain snow

Happy Wednesday everyone!

The rain is making a return to the High Desert today after a dry Tuesday. High temperatures wild be mild in the 40s to 50s, similar to yesterday.

As you're heading out, slick roads will be the main concern across the region.

Snow continues to pile up on the mountains. Anticipated totals of 10 to 11 inches are possible in Mt. Bachelor and Santiam Pass by early Thursday. Lower elevations may see some snow but it will be minimal.

Travel may be tricky through the mountain passes. ODOT is reminding those with studded tires to get them removed by March 31st. After the deadline, they say stick to traction tires or chains if you need to get through the snowy areas.

We could be seeing another round of showers Thursday, primarily during the afternoon and evening.

The forecast shows we will enter a dry period as we move towards the weekend.

Have a wonderful rest of your day!
