Warmest day of the week

Good morning!

Today will be the warmest day of the week, with some areas in the region experiencing afternoon highs in the 90s. We might see a few clouds this morning, but it should clear up with plenty of sunshine.

If you're planning to enjoy outdoor activities such as floating in the river, be sure to apply plenty of sunscreen.

Keep in mind if it's 90° outside, your car will reach 125° in about a half an hour. This is why you should never leave your kids or pets in the car.

It should be a mild night for us with temperatures only dropping into the 50s.

We'll still be hot on Saturday in the 80s with a potential for isolated pop-up storms to the east. The warmer than normal pattern continues through Sunday, except we're a couple degrees down from the day before. We may see some more clouds during the afternoon which could also mean a stray shower or storm.

We'll start the next week with a breezy and warm pattern. Highs in the low 80s again.

Enjoy the rest of your Friday.
