Warm today, cooler pattern begins tomorrow

Happy Thursday!

I hope you're excited for another warm and sunny day. After a chilly start to the morning, temperatures will rise this afternoon into the 80s in most areas.

Firefighters plan to continue the Big Eddy Prescribed Burn units four miles west of Bend. Ignitions are planned for around 9 a.m. Smoke will be visible from Bend and the surrounding area.

Smoke impacts are most likely overnight and in the early morning hours.

Temperatures tonight will drop into the 30s and 40s under clear skies.

A cold front will bring cooler temperatures as we head into the weekend, with highs in the low 70s on Friday and only reaching the mid-60s on Saturday and Sunday.

There's also a slight chance for some light rain over the Cascades Friday night into Saturday. For a brief period, they may even see some snow.

Enjoy the rest of your day.
