First weekend of Summer 2024 will be a hot one!

Happy Friday Central Oregon!

We're continuing the warming trend with temperatures rising mostly into the 80s today. Some parts of the region including Madras and Warm Springs could see highs up in the 90s.

It's one of those days you're going to want to switch out the pair of jeans for a pair of shorts. It's also a good idea to bring a hat to keep the sun out of your face and keep lathering on the sunscreen.

Temperatures tonight will drop into the 40s to 50s under mostly clear skies.

We get to start the summer with a little treat. Check out the full Strawberry Moon tonight at peak illumination around 6:07pm tonight.

It will appear full for around three days. Fun fact… it’s called strawberry because it marks the ripening season of strawberries which are ready for harvest.

Saturday will be the hottest day of the week with temperatures ranging from the low to high 90s. The record high in Bend for the 22nd of June is 92 so that will be challenged.

We should see temperatures in the middle and upper 80s lingering at least through the middle of next week.

Enjoy the rest of your day.
